An established, nationally recognized law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Counsel or Senior Associate to join its sophisticated commercial real estate practice. This is an opportunity to work on high-value, complex transactions alongside a nationally integrated team advising institutional investors, developers, private equity sponsors, and corporate owners across a broad range of asset classes.

This role is ideal for a senior real estate attorney looking to take on substantial responsibility, lead transactions independently, and work on market-shaping deals in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

The Opportunity
You will play a key role in structuring, negotiating, and executing sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development matters, joint ventures, and leasing arrangements. The practice spans a wide range of asset classes including multifamily, industrial, office, retail, energy infrastructure, and digital infrastructure projects nationwide.

Attorneys in this team are trusted advisors to sophisticated market participants and are deeply involved in every stage of the deal lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions from inception through closing
  • Structure and negotiate financing transactions on behalf of borrowers and lenders
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documentation, and complex lease agreements
  • Advise clients on risk allocation, deal structuring, and transaction strategy
  • Coordinate due diligence and oversee transaction execution efficiently
  • Collaborate across practice groups to support broader business and investment objectives

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 8+ years of commercial real estate experience
  • JD required from an accredited law school
  • Previous experience working in a law firm is required
  • Strong background representing owners, investors, developers, lenders, landlords, and tenants in sophisticated commercial transactions
  • Ability to independently manage the full lifecycle of transactions
  • Deep familiarity with loan documents, purchase agreements, leasing structures, and deal mechanics
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client management skills
  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
