The practice offers exposure to the full lifecycle of real estate transactions, from initial structuring and due diligence through negotiation, documentation, and closing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working directly with clients, opposing counsel, title companies, surveyors, and other transaction stakeholders.

About You

We are interested in speaking with commercial real estate associates who demonstrate strong transactional experience, excellent drafting skills, and the confidence to manage sophisticated matters with increasing independence.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • 3–6 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school, with a strong academic record.
  • Previous experience working within a law firm, ideally handling sophisticated commercial real estate matters.
  • Experience managing acquisitions, dispositions, commercial leasing, development, and related transactions.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation experience involving purchase agreements, leases, development agreements, and closing documentation.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and client relationship skills.
  • The ability to manage competing deadlines and take responsibility for complex transactions.
  • Admission to the Ohio State Bar.

Additional experience involving real estate finance, joint ventures, franchise acquisitions and leasing, hospitality, homebuilding, community development, or zoning and land use would be advantageous.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This position offers an attractive opportunity for a junior- to mid-level associate seeking sophisticated transactional work, greater responsibility, and long-term career development within a nationally established real estate practice.

  • Sophisticated Transactional Work: Advise regional, national, and multinational clients on complex commercial real estate transactions and development projects.
  • Broad Practice Exposure: Gain experience across acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, real estate finance, and corporate transactions.
  • Direct Client Engagement: Build relationships with sophisticated clients and take an active role in managing transactions from start to finish.
