Real Estate Associate Attorney
Real Estate Associate Attorney
Multiple U.S. Offices | 3–5 Years’ Experience | New York Salary Range: $225,000–$415,000
A sophisticated national real estate practice is seeking an experienced Real Estate Associate to join its team. The position can be based across multiple U.S. offices and offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-value transactions for clients operating across major real estate sectors.
This is an attractive opportunity for an associate who has developed a strong transactional foundation and wants greater involvement in negotiating significant deal documents, managing key components of transactions, and working directly with clients.
The Role
The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including:
- Acquisitions and dispositions of significant real estate assets
- Commercial leasing transactions
- Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, and other material transaction documents
- General contracting and construction-related matters
- Coordinating complex transactions from initial structuring through closing
- Working directly with clients, counterparties, and other advisers throughout the transaction lifecycle
Experience involving data centers and digital infrastructure would be particularly valuable. This may include hyperscaler data center leasing, construction, development, or related transactions.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
The role provides exposure to sophisticated transactions while allowing associates to develop greater responsibility for both the legal and commercial aspects of matters. Associates will have the opportunity to sharpen their drafting and negotiation skills, build direct client relationships, and continue developing a broad-based real estate practice.
The ability to work from multiple U.S. offices also provides flexibility for candidates who want access to a nationally integrated practice without being limited to a single market.
Candidate Profile
Candidates should have 3–5 years of substantive commercial real estate experience, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and general transactional or contracting matters.
Applicants should be comfortable drafting and negotiating significant definitive agreements and communicating directly with clients. Strong academic credentials, commercial judgment, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are expected.
Candidates must have a JD and previous experience working in a law firm, ideally within a sophisticated transactional real estate practice.
For candidates based in New York City, the stated base salary range is $225,000–$415,000, with compensation dependent on relevant factors.
