A leading global law firm is seeking an Of Counsel with 8+ years of experience to join its Business & Commercial Litigation practice (Multiple Locations). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator with a strong background in M&A-related disputes to take on a senior role within a sophisticated global platform.
The successful candidate will focus on complex post-closing M&A indemnity and representations and warranties insurance disputes, working directly with clients, supervising associates and developing strategy across high-value commercial matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle complex M&A post-closing indemnity disputes
- Advise on representations and warranties insurance disputes
- Analyse M&A transaction documentation and damages calculations
- Develop and execute case strategy across sophisticated commercial disputes
- Manage fact development and depositions
- Draft and review discovery responses, briefs, motions and memoranda
- Collaborate with experts on complex damages and transactional issues
- Communicate directly with clients throughout matters
- Supervise and mentor associates
Who You Are:
- 8+ years of relevant litigation experience
- Significant experience with M&A post-closing indemnity disputes and/or representations and warranties insurance disputes
- Experience analysing M&A transaction documentation
- Strong understanding of damages calculations
- Superior research, analytical and writing skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent project management and organisational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters simultaneously
- Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction in which you are applying
Compensation:
Salary Range: $400,000 – $525,000 (DOE and location)
