Are you an early-career land use attorney looking to build your practice with a nationally recognized legal team handling some of the country’s most significant development projects?

A leading international law firm is seeking a Land Use Associate (2–5 years’ experience) to join its growing Denver office. This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside highly experienced attorneys advising developers, landowners, investors, and businesses on complex land use and real estate development matters across a broad range of industries.

You’ll gain hands-on experience throughout the full development lifecycle while working on sophisticated projects involving zoning, permitting, entitlements, and regulatory approvals.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on land use, zoning, and real estate development matters.
  • Prepare and manage land use applications and entitlement submissions.
  • Draft development agreements, zoning analyses, and related legal documentation.
  • Guide clients through permitting and approval processes with municipal and governmental authorities.
  • Support due diligence for acquisitions and development projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex commercial developments.
  • Build strong client relationships while taking on increasing responsibility as your practice grows.

What We’re Looking For

  • JD required.
  • Previous experience working in a law firm is essential.
  • 2–5 years of experience in land use, zoning, real estate development, or related regulatory matters.
  • Experience with entitlement and permitting processes.
  • Strong drafting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Admission to the Colorado Bar, or eligibility for prompt admission, is preferred.
