A nationally recognized real estate finance practice is seeking a mid-level associate (3–5 years’ experience) to join its expanding transactional team. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys looking to work on sophisticated commercial real estate financing transactions while gaining hands-on responsibility within a collaborative and high-performing practice.
The role offers meaningful involvement in complex lending transactions and the opportunity to develop strong client relationships while working alongside experienced partners and deal teams.
The Opportunity
You will assist with a broad range of commercial real estate finance matters, advising lenders and other market participants on structured financing transactions secured by commercial real estate assets. Associates in this practice play a key role in managing deals from inception through closing while coordinating closely with clients, counterparties, and internal teams.
The group handles sophisticated transactions across a wide range of property types and capital structures, providing associates with deep exposure to the commercial real estate finance market.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with commercial real estate financing transactions involving secured lending structures

Draft and negotiate loan agreements, security instruments, and collateral documentation

Support complex lending and secured financing arrangements backed by commercial real estate assets

Manage components of transactions from initial structuring through closing under partner supervision

Conduct and coordinate financing and corporate due diligence, including title and survey review

Review and analyze landlord-tenant arrangements and property-related documentation relevant to financing transactions

Collaborate with internal deal teams, clients, and opposing counsel to ensure efficient deal execution
Ideal Candidate Profile

3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance or real estate lending within a sophisticated law firm environment

JD required and prior experience working in a law firm

Strong experience drafting and negotiating financing documentation and secured lending agreements

Familiarity with title review, survey analysis, and real estate financing due diligence

Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills

Strong academic credentials and the ability to manage complex transactions in a collaborative environment

Active Georgia Bar membership or the ability to obtain admission
