A nationally respected law firm is seeking a Transactional Associate to join its growing Public Finance and Secondary Markets practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to deepen their experience in sophisticated finance transactions, securities matters, and structured finance work while collaborating with highly experienced practitioners in a nationally recognized practice.
The role offers broad exposure to a diverse mix of transactional matters, including municipal finance, asset-backed securities, lending transactions, and corporate finance. Attorneys in this position will work on complex financing structures and capital markets transactions, supporting clients across a range of industries and jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities include conducting legal research across federal and state securities laws, lending regulations, tax-related matters, and finance-related statutes; drafting and reviewing financing and transaction documents such as loan agreements, trust indentures, financing agreements, and related opinions; and assisting with underwriting documentation, offering materials, purchase agreements, and disclosure documentation.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who enjoys analytical, detail-driven transactional work and wants to build a long-term career in a collaborative, high-level finance practice. The successful candidate will have regular interaction with clients and transaction stakeholders, offering meaningful responsibility and direct deal involvement from day one.
Candidate Requirements:
- JD required
- Must have prior experience working in a law firm
- Minimum of 2+ years of transactional legal experience
- Experience in public finance, real estate finance, lending, corporate finance, or related transactional practices
- Strong understanding of business entities and transactional structures
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and research skills
- Strong communication and client-facing abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and project management skills
- Active Nebraska bar admission (or ability to obtain admission within one year)
