An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a motivated Associate to join a highly regarded national law firm with a thriving Community Development Finance practice. This role offers the chance to work on sophisticated transactional matters while developing expertise across community development finance, commercial real estate, lending, and tax-related transactions.
Working alongside experienced attorneys in a collaborative and supportive environment, you will gain hands-on exposure to complex deals, take on meaningful responsibility from day one, and benefit from clear opportunities for long-term career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct due diligence for complex commercial real estate and finance transactions.
- Prepare diligence checklists, reports, and transaction memoranda.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial documents, including operating agreements, loan agreements, leases, guarantees, legal opinions, and related financing documentation.
- Coordinate transaction closings and manage deal timelines.
- Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues to deliver exceptional client service across sophisticated transactional matters.
What We’re Looking For
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Previous experience working in a law firm is essential.
- Active bar admission, or the ability to obtain admission within the required jurisdiction within the first year of employment.
- Experience or academic exposure to transactional law, finance, tax, accounting, commercial lending, or real estate is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong drafting, analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A proactive mindset and the confidence to work both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
