A highly regarded law firm is seeking a talented Corporate/M&A Associate to join its sophisticated transactional practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to take on a prominent role advising clients on complex, high-value transactions while working alongside experienced dealmakers in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

The successful candidate will have between 3-5 years of experience handling a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and joint ventures. The practice serves clients across a diverse mix of industries, providing exposure to significant domestic and cross-border matters that shape businesses and markets.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients, manage key aspects of transactions, and develop meaningful relationships with business leaders, investors, and strategic stakeholders. Associates are encouraged to take ownership of their work, contribute strategically to deals, and play an active role in delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic corporate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction agreements and related documentation.
  • Conduct and manage due diligence processes.
  • Support private equity investments and joint venture transactions.
  • Coordinate transaction teams and work closely with clients throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Provide practical, business-focused legal advice in fast-paced transactional environments.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Previous experience working in a law firm is required.
  • 3-5 years of substantive Corporate/M&A experience.
  • Experience handling complex transactional matters with significant client responsibility.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work product.
  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
