Litigation Associate
Location: Northern New Jersey, NJ
A leading global law firm is seeking a 2nd-4th year Litigation Associate to join its New Jersey office. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level litigator to work on sophisticated matters within a highly regarded national litigation practice.
The successful candidate will gain meaningful responsibility across complex state and federal litigation, including substantive drafting, discovery and court appearances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle sophisticated litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive legal documents
- Conduct complex legal research and analysis
- Manage traditional and electronic discovery
- Assist with case strategy and fact development
- Appear before state and federal courts
- Work closely with partners and senior attorneys throughout all stages of litigation
- Manage multiple matters within a fast-paced litigation practice
Who You Are:
- 2-4 years of litigation experience
- Mid to large law firm experience preferred
- Extensive experience drafting pleadings and conducting legal research
- Experience managing traditional and electronic discovery
- Experience appearing before state and federal courts
- Federal judicial clerkship preferred
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong research, writing and oral advocacy skills
- Admitted to the New Jersey Bar or eligible for admission
- Ability to work from the firm’s New Jersey office
Compensation:
Salary Range: $200,000 – $235,000 (DOE)
Eligible attorneys may also receive a discretionary bonus.
