Location: Chicago, IL
A leading global law firm is seeking a junior Associate to join its Antitrust Litigation practice in Chicago.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior litigator looking to develop specialist antitrust experience while building on a strong foundation in complex litigation. Deep antitrust experience is not required, making the position particularly attractive to commercial litigators interested in transitioning into the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on sophisticated antitrust litigation matters
- Conduct complex legal research and analysis
- Draft motions, briefs, pleadings and other substantive litigation documents
- Manage discovery and key case workstreams
- Analyse issues arising under federal antitrust law, including the Sherman Act
- Assist with developing litigation strategy
- Work closely with experienced antitrust litigators
- Take increasing responsibility for matters and direct client contact as experience develops
Who You Are:
- Junior associate with strong foundational litigation experience
- Experience with legal research, drafting and discovery management
- Prior exposure to antitrust law is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with the Sherman Act is advantageous
- Genuine interest in developing an antitrust litigation practice
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
- Strong commitment to client service
Compensation:
Salary Range: $215,000 – $260,000
Associates may also be eligible for bonuses.
