An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Health Law Associate to join a nationally recognised transactional practice advising clients across the healthcare industry. This role is ideal for an attorney with strong mergers and acquisitions experience who is looking to work on sophisticated healthcare transactions while developing within a collaborative, partnership-track environment.
You will work with a diverse client base spanning healthcare providers, investors, and other industry participants, advising on complex corporate transactions and regulatory issues that shape the evolving healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on healthcare mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint venture transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of transaction documents.
- Conduct and manage legal due diligence, preparing reports and identifying key transactional risks.
- Coordinate all stages of the deal process from inception through closing.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, and transaction teams.
- Lead smaller transactions independently while managing designated workstreams on larger, more complex deals.
- Supervise and coordinate deal team members and specialist advisors throughout the transaction process.
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to deliver practical, commercially focused legal advice.
What We’re Looking For
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Previous experience working in a law firm is essential.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience handling complex mergers and acquisitions transactions within the healthcare sector.
- Strong experience with acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, and joint ventures.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Exceptional organisational abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple high-value matters while maintaining outstanding client service.
- Experience advising on healthcare regulatory considerations is advantageous, including matters involving provider regulations and transactional compliance.
