Location: Chicago, IL
A leading global law firm is seeking a 4th-7th year Employment Associate to join its Chicago office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment attorney to work on sophisticated wage-and-hour matters and complex employment litigation within a highly regarded practice.
The successful candidate will advise and represent employers across significant employment disputes, with a particular focus on wage-and-hour counseling, class and collective actions and other complex litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on sophisticated wage-and-hour matters
- Handle complex employment litigation in state and federal courts
- Represent employers in class and collective action matters
- Work on significant wage-and-hour litigation
- Conduct complex legal research and analysis
- Draft motions, briefs and other substantive litigation documents
- Manage discovery and key phases of complex employment disputes
- Develop litigation strategies alongside partners and senior attorneys
- Advise clients on employment law risks and strategy
Who You Are:
- 4-7 years of employment law experience
- Wage-and-hour counseling and litigation experience strongly preferred
- Meaningful class and collective action experience
- Experience with complex employment litigation
- Strong litigation skills
- Excellent legal research, writing and analytical abilities
- Strong academic credentials
- Active Illinois Bar membership required
Compensation:
Salary Range: $320,000 – $440,000 based on class year and experience
