A leading international law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its Complex Commercial Litigation practice in Chicago. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-stakes disputes across a range of industries, handling matters through all phases of litigation.
Associates will gain hands-on experience managing sophisticated cases in both state and federal courts within a highly regarded litigation team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in complex commercial litigation matters
- Draft pleadings, motions and substantive briefs
- Manage all aspects of discovery, including document review and expert development
- Take and defend depositions
- Support trial preparation and overall litigation strategy
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Coordinate matters across Illinois state and federal courts
Who You Are:
- 3+ years of general litigation experience
- Experience at a top-tier law firm or federal judicial clerkship preferred
- Strong experience with discovery, motion practice and depositions
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong research, writing and analytical skills
- Highly organised with strong case management abilities
- Admitted to the Illinois Bar
