Location: Newark, NJ
A leading global law firm is seeking a 3rd–5th year Associate to join its Commercial Disputes practice in Newark. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial litigation, multi-district litigation and class action matters alongside experienced litigators, with excellent mentoring, client exposure and long-term career progression.
The successful candidate will play a key role in complex disputes while developing within one of the world’s largest and most respected law firms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in complex commercial litigation, multidistrict litigation and class action matters
- Draft substantive pleadings, motions and other court filings
- Conduct legal research and develop strategic litigation arguments
- Manage all phases of written discovery and eDiscovery
- Organise and oversee document review and production
- Assist with depositions, hearings and trial preparation
- Work directly with partners and clients on sophisticated litigation matters
- Collaborate with litigation teams across offices on complex national disputes
Who You Are:
- 3rd–5th year associate
- Experience handling complex commercial litigation matters
- Experience with multidistrict litigation and/or class actions preferred
- Strong drafting, research and legal writing skills
- Experience managing discovery and eDiscovery processes
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Judicial clerkship or law journal experience preferred
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Admitted to the New Jersey Bar or eligible to sit for the New Jersey Bar
Compensation:
Salary Range: $215,000 – $255,000 (DOE)
