A leading national law firm is seeking a Biotechnology Patent Associate to join its established Intellectual Property practice in Atlanta. The successful candidate will work with innovative biotechnology and life sciences clients on sophisticated patent matters, including patent preparation and prosecution, portfolio development and management, IP counseling, due diligence and technology-related transactions. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge scientific developments and the opportunity to work alongside highly regarded practitioners within a collaborative, nationally recognized patent group.

Candidates should have 3–6 years of relevant experience in biotechnology or life sciences patent prosecution, ideally gained within a reputable law firm. Experience advising clients on patent strategy, conducting IP due diligence and drafting or negotiating intellectual property agreements is particularly desirable. Exposure to inter partes proceedings or contentious patent matters would be advantageous but is not essential.

Applicants must hold a JD from an accredited law school, possess a graduate degree in molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry or a related discipline, and be registered with the USPTO. A Ph.D. is strongly preferred, alongside excellent academic credentials and active Georgia Bar admission or eligibility for admission by waiver.
