Associate Attorney – Healthcare Privacy & Compliance (2–4 Years’ Experience)

You’ll join a nationally respected practice focused on healthcare privacy and compliance, collaborating with sophisticated clients across the industry. From managing high-stakes data incidents to guiding organizations through regulatory scrutiny, your work will sit at the intersection of law, technology, and public policy.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support incident response matters, including ransomware attacks and business email compromises
- Advise clients facing regulatory investigations under HIPAA and state privacy laws
- Conduct proactive compliance counseling and develop privacy programs
- Deliver training and strategic guidance on data security preparedness
- Provide forward-looking legal advice on emerging issues, including artificial intelligence in healthcare
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, translating complex technical findings into clear legal strategies

What You Bring
- 2–4 years of experience in privacy, cybersecurity, or litigation with a strong interest in healthcare
- Working knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare operations
- Experience in a law firm setting (AmLaw or specialized boutique preferred)
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Intellectual curiosity around technology and its legal implications
- JD required and prior experience working in a law firm
Bonus Experience (Not Required)
- Clerkship or experience working with government regulators
- Exposure to data breach response or regulatory investigations
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary (target range: $215,000–$225,000 depending on location and experience)
