Location: Nashville, TN
A leading international law firm is seeking a 2nd–5th year Associate to join its Tax practice in Nashville. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly regarded team advising clients on sophisticated tax matters, with a particular focus on renewable energy tax credits and private equity-driven corporate transactions.
The role offers meaningful responsibility, hands-on training and excellent long-term career progression within a collaborative and well-established practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on federal tax issues arising from renewable energy tax credit transactions
- Counsel clients on the tax aspects of corporate transactions and private equity-backed mergers and acquisitions
- Structure and support sophisticated transactional tax matters
- Draft and review transaction documents from a tax perspective
- Conduct legal research and provide practical, commercially focused tax advice
- Work directly with partners and clients on complex domestic transactions
- Collaborate across corporate, finance and tax teams to deliver integrated legal solutions
Who You Are:
- 2nd–5th year associate
- Strong transactional tax experience
- Experience with renewable energy tax credits and/or private equity M&A transactions preferred
- Excellent drafting, analytical and legal writing skills
- Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
- Hardworking, proactive and collaborative approach
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Active Bar admission or eligible to waive into the relevant jurisdiction
- Willing to work in-office a minimum of three days per week
