Location: Seattle, WA
A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate with 7+ years of experience to join its Litigation Practice in Seattle. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead sophisticated, high-stakes litigation for major corporate clients while taking on significant responsibility for case strategy, client management and team leadership.
The practice handles complex commercial disputes across a wide range of industries, with particular strength in environmental, antitrust, class action, intellectual property, securities, white collar and internal investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex commercial litigation matters from inception through trial and resolution
- Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment, Daubert motions and complex discovery motions
- Take and defend key fact and expert witness depositions
- Develop and execute discovery strategy, including ESI protocols, privilege reviews and vendor management
- Advise clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment and commercial objectives
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, providing strategic advice and budget management
- Appear independently at hearings, mediations, arbitrations and court proceedings
- Lead trial preparation and courtroom advocacy where appropriate
- Manage case budgets, staffing, timelines and overall matter execution
- Supervise and mentor junior associates and paralegals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across appellate, regulatory, investigations and white collar practices
- Support business development initiatives, client relationship growth and practice expansion
Who You Are:
- 7+ years of complex commercial litigation experience
- Experience gained at an Am Law 100 or Am Law 200 firm preferred
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters
- Extensive experience with motions practice and high-stakes depositions
- Deep understanding of complex discovery and eDiscovery strategy
- Strong knowledge of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
- Trial, arbitration or judicial clerkship experience preferred
- Experience in real estate, construction, environmental, healthcare or intellectual property litigation is a plus
- Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills
- Proven leadership, mentoring and client management experience
- Strong business judgement and commercial awareness
- Admitted to the Washington Bar or eligible for prompt admission
Compensation:
Salary: $310,000+ (DOE)
