Location: Miami, FL
A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Trial Associate with 6+ years of experience to join its Trial & Litigation practice in Miami. This is an outstanding opportunity to handle sophisticated commercial litigation and arbitration matters for national and international clients while taking on significant responsibility in high-stakes disputes.
The successful candidate will work alongside leading trial lawyers on complex cases involving trials, arbitrations and final hearings, with excellent opportunities for career progression and client exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters
- Manage cases through all stages of litigation, from inception through trial or final hearing
- Draft substantive pleadings, motions, briefs and other legal filings
- Conduct sophisticated legal research and develop case strategy
- Manage traditional and electronic discovery processes
- Appear before state and federal courts
- Prepare witnesses, experts and trial materials for hearings and trials
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop creative, commercially focused litigation strategies
Who You Are:
- 6+ years of commercial litigation and/or arbitration experience
- Trial and/or final hearing experience
- Extensive experience drafting substantive motions and legal briefs
- Strong legal research, writing and oral advocacy skills
- Experience managing complex discovery and eDiscovery
- Self-starter with the ability to independently manage sophisticated matters
- Top academic credentials, including graduation from a top-tier law school or outstanding class ranking
- Federal judicial clerkship experience is a plus
- Interest in international disputes is advantageous
- Admitted to the Florida Bar or eligible for admission
