Location: South Florida (Fort Lauderdale)
An elite corporate transactions team is seeking a Senior Associate (6–8+ years) to join its Public Company Mergers & Acquisitions practice in South Florida. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced attorney who wants meaningful responsibility, direct client engagement, and exposure to complex, market-leading transactions.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in sophisticated deal environments, enjoys leading transactions from start to finish, and is motivated by working alongside top-tier lawyers on strategic matters for public companies across a wide range of industries.
What You’ll Do

Lead public company M&A transactions from inception through closing, including structuring, negotiation, and execution

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic legal and business guidance

Draft and negotiate principal transaction documents and manage high-stakes deal issues

Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff

Coordinate with internal specialists on complex, multi-disciplinary matters

Oversee post-closing matters, including purchase price adjustments and integration issues
What We’re Looking For

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Admission to the Florida Bar (or ability to waive in)

6–8+ years of substantive M&A experience at a law firm, with a strong focus on public company transactions

Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex deals

Strong leadership, communication, and client-management skills

Experience with cross-border or multi-jurisdictional transactions is a plus
