A leading international law firm is seeking a 4+ year Associate to join its Real Estate Capital Markets Litigation practice in New York. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated real estate disputes within a highly regarded and growing litigation platform.
The role offers exposure to commercial landlord-tenant disputes, foreclosure litigation and broader real estate litigation matters for sophisticated clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in commercial real estate litigation matters
- Handle commercial landlord-tenant disputes
- Support commercial foreclosure litigation matters
- Draft pleadings, motions and substantive legal memoranda
- Manage discovery and e-discovery processes
- Attend hearings and support courtroom proceedings
- Work closely with clients and senior attorneys on litigation strategy
Who You Are:
- 4+ years of commercial litigation experience
- Experience with motion practice, discovery and courtroom proceedings
- Background in commercial landlord-tenant litigation
- Commercial foreclosure litigation experience or willingness to learn
- Strong research, writing and analytical skills
- Familiarity with New York citation formatting
- Strong academic credentials
- Experience at a large regional, national or international law firm preferred
- Self-motivated, organised and collaborative
Compensation:
Salary Range: $310,000 – $390,000 (DOE)
