Location: San Francisco or Palo Alto, CA

A nationally recognised product liability and class actions practice is seeking a litigation associate to join its expanding California Proposition 65 team. This role sits within a sophisticated disputes platform handling complex regulatory, mass tort, and consumer-facing litigation for major corporate clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a California-admitted litigator to develop deep expertise in Proposition 65 matters while remaining exposed to broader product liability and class action work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed legal research and regulatory analysis relating to Proposition 65 and related product liability matters.

  • Draft high-quality briefs, motions, pleadings, and client-facing memoranda.

  • Support and manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, and settlement.

  • Participate in depositions, court hearings, negotiations, and trial preparation.

  • Work directly with clients, providing clear, commercial, and timely advice.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-office litigation teams on national matters.

  • Remain current on regulatory developments and evolving Proposition 65 enforcement trends.

Who You Are:

  • 2–4 years of litigation experience, ideally within an AmLaw 100 or comparable environment.

  • Admitted to practice in California and in good standing.

  • Strong interest or experience in Proposition 65, product liability, or complex regulatory litigation.

  • Excellent academic credentials with strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable managing responsibility in a fast-paced practice.

  • Confident communicator with a collaborative working style.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $235,000 – $310,000 DOE
