Location: Phoenix, AZ
A leading global law firm is seeking a 4th–7th year Associate to join its Litigation practice in Phoenix. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-value commercial disputes as part of a collaborative, cross-office team handling complex matters for a diverse client base.
The role offers broad exposure to all phases of litigation, substantial client interaction and the opportunity to develop within a platform that combines the resources of an international firm with the close-knit culture of a boutique practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Analyse sophisticated legal issues and develop litigation strategy
- Conduct legal research and draft substantive briefs and court filings
- Prepare for, take and defend depositions
- Manage written discovery, document review and document productions
- Work with expert witnesses and assist in developing expert strategies
- Support trial preparation, including preparing witness outlines and exhibits for direct and cross-examinations
- Work directly with clients on case management and litigation strategy
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices on high-stakes disputes
Who You Are:
- 4th–7th year associate
- Experience handling complex commercial litigation matters
- Strong brief writing and legal research skills
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- Trial preparation experience preferred
- Experience managing discovery and working with expert witnesses
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and client management skills
- Law Review, Journal and/or judicial clerkship experience preferred
- Strong academic credentials
- Admitted to practice in Arizona
