Litigation Associate
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
A leading global law firm is seeking a 3–5 year Associate to join its Litigation Practice in Fort Lauderdale. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-stakes commercial disputes within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Associates will gain exposure to complex matters across a broad range of industries while working closely with nationally recognised litigators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support all phases of complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts
- Draft and argue substantive and dispositive motions
- Conduct and defend depositions, including expert witnesses
- Lead written discovery and e-discovery processes
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations and trials
- Work directly with clients to develop case strategy and provide practical advice
Who You Are:
- 3–5 years of litigation experience (law firm or clerkship + firm combination)
- Experience in complex commercial litigation preferred
- Exposure to corporate, financial services, real estate, construction or securities matters is advantageous
- Strong research, writing and oral advocacy skills
- Experience in federal and state courts
- Strong case management skills with ability to handle multiple matters
- Excellent academic credentials
- Admitted to the Florida Bar or eligible for prompt admission
- Strong attention to detail and client-service mindset
Federal judicial clerkship experience is preferred.
