Litigation Associate
Location: Los Angeles, CA

A respected Los Angeles-based law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4+ years of broad-based litigation experience to join its Litigation Department. This role offers exposure to sophisticated commercial disputes across a range of industries, with meaningful responsibility and strong trial preparation experience.

Associates will work on complex matters including contract disputes, fiduciary duty claims, and related business litigation issues within a collaborative and high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle broad-based commercial litigation matters from inception through trial preparation

• Draft pleadings, motions and substantive briefs

• Argue motions in state and federal courts

• Take and defend depositions

• Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation and strategy development

• Advise on matters involving breach of contract, tortious interference and breach of fiduciary duty

• Support disputes involving real estate, land use, trusts and estates, and intellectual property litigation where applicable

Who You Are:

• 4+ years of commercial litigation experience

• Experience arguing motions and taking depositions

• Strong research, analytical and drafting skills

• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills

• Strong academic credentials

• Admitted to practice in California

Compensation:
Salary Range: $270,000 – $325,000 (DOE)
Benefits: Discretionary bonus based on performance and hours (1900+ threshold), additional origination credit bonus, and comprehensive benefits package
