Junior–Midlevel Investment Funds Associate Attorney
Junior–Midlevel Investment Funds Associate | Los Angeles
A highly respected global platform is seeking a junior to mid-level associate (2–5 years) to join its sophisticated Investment Funds practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who thrives on complex work, collaborative team dynamics, and exposure to market-leading sponsors and institutional investors.
In this role, you will work across the full lifecycle of private investment funds and related vehicles. The team advises on structuring and fundraising for funds spanning private equity, venture capital, real estate, and other asset classes, as well as the formation of general partner, management company, and ancillary entities. You’ll also support institutional investors on commitments to premier private funds, contributing to a practice known for precision, judgment, and strategic insight.
The position offers the chance to take on meaningful responsibility early — including reviewing and spotting issues in fund documents for institutional clients, negotiating side letters and ancillary agreements, and drafting private fund formation materials. Exposure to investment-management M&A or strategic transactions is advantageous, but not required. Success in this environment requires sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to operate seamlessly within a diverse, collaborative global team.
Candidates must hold a JD and have prior experience in a law firm. Admission to the California Bar (or willingness to obtain it promptly) is required.
Compensation is competitive and aligned with the top end of the California market, with final placement within the stated band dependent on experience and location.
