Location: Long Island, NY
A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a 3rd–5th year Associate to join its Government Investigations & White Collar Defense practice in Long Island. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated government investigations, enforcement actions and complex white collar matters alongside an experienced team representing both individuals and organisations.
The role offers exposure to every stage of government investigations, from grand jury proceedings through trial and appeal, while providing meaningful responsibility and direct client interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in government investigations and white collar defence matters
- Assist with criminal defence and complex civil litigation matters
- Draft motions, briefs and other substantive legal filings
- Conduct legal research and analyse complex enforcement and fraud issues
- Defend clients in government investigations, enforcement actions and related civil fraud litigation
- Respond to subpoenas, civil investigative demands and other government requests
- Assist with grand jury proceedings, trial preparation and appellate matters
- Work directly with clients to develop strategic and practical legal solutions
Who You Are:
- 3rd–5th year associate
- Experience in government investigations, criminal defence and/or civil litigation
- Experience defending government investigations or enforcement matters preferred
- Federal judicial clerkship strongly preferred
- Exceptional writing, analytical and advocacy skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent judgement, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to outstanding client service
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Compensation:
Salary Range: $190,000 – $235,000 (DOE)
