A premier global law firm is seeking an Associate with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join its Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits practice in New York. This is an exceptional opportunity to advise market-leading clients on sophisticated compensation, employee benefits and employment issues arising in complex domestic and cross-border transactions.
The role offers exposure to high-profile M&A transactions, capital markets deals and strategic employment matters for clients ranging from emerging growth companies to multinational corporations and private equity sponsors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on executive compensation, employee benefits and employment matters arising in corporate transactions
- Support mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions and other strategic business initiatives from an executive compensation perspective
- Draft, review and negotiate compensation and benefits-related documentation
- Counsel clients on the design and implementation of equity incentive arrangements and executive compensation programmes
- Advise on employee benefits issues, including tax and securities law considerations
- Assist clients with multi-jurisdictional employment and employee benefits matters
- Collaborate with attorneys across tax, corporate, employment and governance teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Provide commercially focused advice tailored to clients’ business objectives and market conditions
Who You Are:
- Associate with a minimum of 3 years of executive compensation and employee benefits experience
- Experience advising on compensation and benefits issues arising in corporate transactions preferred
- Strong interest in sophisticated transactional executive compensation work
- Excellent drafting, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage complex matters within a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional client service
- Strong academic credentials
Compensation:
Discretionary bonuses may also be available depending on individual circumstances and position.
