Location: Washington, D.C.
A top-tier international law firm is seeking an associate with strong experience in environmental litigation to join its Washington, D.C. office. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex civil and criminal matters at the federal level, representing major clients in high-impact enforcement actions and regulatory disputes.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage federal environmental litigation and enforcement matters, both civil and criminal.

Analyse complex regulatory schemes and advise on compliance, liability, and enforcement risks.

Draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda with clarity and precision.

Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on strategic decision-making and case management.

Engage directly with clients and government agencies on regulatory and enforcement issues.
Who You Are:

Class years 2015–2021 (with flexibility for 2018–2022) from a leading law firm or government agency.

Experience in environmental or regulatory litigation; DOJ or federal agency enforcement experience strongly preferred.

Excellent analytical, writing, and research abilities.

Demonstrated understanding of environmental and administrative law principles.

Self-starter capable of managing matters with minimal supervision.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $260,000 – $470,000 DOE
