Location: San Francisco, CA

A premier technology-focused law firm is seeking a 3rd–5th year Associate to join its Employment & Trade Secret practice (Multiple Offices). This is an exceptional opportunity to work with innovative clients ranging from early-stage startups to Fortune 500 companies across the technology, life sciences, clean energy and emerging growth sectors.

The role offers a unique blend of employment litigation, counselling, internal investigations and transactional support, providing associates with broad exposure and significant responsibility from an early stage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle management-side employment litigation matters through all stages of a dispute
• Conduct internal workplace investigations
• Advise employers on day-to-day employment law issues, including terminations, leaves of absence, employee discipline and workplace policies
• Draft and review employment agreements, policies and related documentation
• Counsel clients on trade secret disputes, restrictive covenants and employee mobility matters
• Advise on employment-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions
• Draft substantive motions, briefs and other legal filings
• Work directly with clients to develop practical, business-focused solutions

Who You Are:

• 3rd–5th year associate
• Experience in management-side employment litigation and counselling
• Significant experience litigating employment disputes
• Experience advising fast-growing companies on employment compliance matters
• Experience with trade secrets, non-compete issues and employee non-solicitation matters preferred
• Experience supporting employment issues arising in M&A transactions preferred
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong academic credentials
• Member of the California Bar

Compensation:
Salary Range: $260,000 – $365,000 (DOE based on class year)
