Location: Stamford, CT
A respected East Coast law firm is seeking a 3–4 year Associate to join its Employment & Labor practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of employer-side matters, including litigation, arbitration and advisory work, within a collaborative and growing team.
Associates will gain exposure to sophisticated employment disputes and counselling matters across a variety of industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent employers in employment litigation in state and federal courts
- Handle matters before administrative agencies, including the NLRB and EEOC
- Support labour arbitration proceedings
- Draft pleadings, motions and legal memoranda
- Conduct legal research and analysis on employment law issues
- Assist with internal investigations and employment counselling
- Draft employment agreements, policies and related documentation
Who You Are:
- 3–4 years of employment and labour litigation experience
- Experience with employer-side matters preferred
- Exposure to discrimination, wage and hour and breach of contract claims
- Experience with non-compete litigation is advantageous
- Strong research, writing and advocacy skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
- Admitted to practice in Connecticut or New Jersey (NY, PA or MA a plus)
