A top-tier international law firm is seeking an experienced employment associate to join its Employment practice in Short Hills, New Jersey and/or New York, New York. The team advises employers on complex employment litigation as well as day-to-day counselling and transactional employment matters, offering associates meaningful responsibility and direct client exposure.
This is an excellent opportunity for an employment lawyer looking to work across contentious and advisory matters within a sophisticated, high-quality practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and support complex employment litigation, including wage and hour, misclassification, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, and wrongful termination matters.

Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.

Advise clients on employment law issues, including restrictive covenants, employee mobility, compensation practices, commission plans, and workplace policies.

Draft and negotiate employment, termination, and severance agreements.

Support employment due diligence and advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions.

Counsel clients on leave and accommodation matters, including FMLA and ADA compliance.
Who You Are:

Approximately 3–6 years of employment law experience covering litigation and advice and counsel work.

Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws and experience before courts and administrative agencies.

Excellent writing, analytical, and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters independently.

Confident communicator with sound commercial judgement and a client-focused approach.

Admitted to practice in New Jersey and/or New York.
Compensation:
-
Salary Range: $260,000 – $390,000 DOE
