Transactional Tax Associate
Location: Atlanta, New York, or Washington, D.C. (other U.S. offices considered)
A leading international firm is seeking a high-calibre mid-level associate to join its growing Tax practice. The team advises on sophisticated transactional matters across private equity, strategic M&A, funds and joint ventures, finance, and restructurings. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter looking to take on meaningful responsibility and work closely with clients within a well-regarded, collaborative practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Advise on the tax aspects of private equity and strategic M&A transactions.

Support fund and joint venture formations, including partnership tax structuring.

Assist with finance and restructuring matters from a transactional tax perspective.

Contribute to inbound investment structuring and cross-border tax planning.

Draft tax analyses, memoranda, and transaction documentation with precision and commercial awareness.
Who You Are:

3–6 years of transactional tax experience gained at a large law firm or accounting firm.

Strong exposure to funds, joint ventures, private equity, and M&A transactions.

Experience with fund formation, partnership taxation, inbound investment, or REIT and real estate finance is advantageous.

Excellent academic credentials with strong writing, analytical, and client-management skills.

Proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams independently.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $260,000 – $390,000 DOE
