A globally recognized law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate Incentives Of Counsel to join its Corporate practice in New York. This is a rare opportunity for a senior attorney to step into a high-impact, nationally integrated practice advising sophisticated domestic and international companies on transformative expansion and relocation projects across the United States.

The Opportunity

This practice sits at the intersection of corporate strategy, economic development, and government engagement. You will advise companies developing new headquarters, manufacturing and distribution facilities, data centers, and large-scale office projects — guiding them through the identification and negotiation of discretionary economic development incentives.

The work is fast-paced, high-volume, and deeply collaborative. You will partner with corporate, real estate, tax, and government relations colleagues to deliver comprehensive, business-forward solutions to global clients making significant capital investments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Advise domestic and international companies expanding or relocating operations within the U.S.

  • Structure and negotiate state and local economic development incentives packages

  • Support large-scale corporate headquarters, manufacturing, logistics, and data center projects

  • Lead complex, multi-jurisdictional incentive negotiations

  • Mentor and guide junior attorneys within a highly integrated team

  • Deliver precise, strategic counsel under demanding timelines

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience advising on corporate incentives and economic development matters

  • Experience gained at a leading national law firm

  • A JD and previous experience working in a law firm

  • Admission to the applicable bar

  • Exceptional analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills

  • Strong project management abilities and attention to detail

  • The ability to balance independent ownership of matters with seamless collaboration across practice groups

Compensation & Platform

The expected compensation range for this position is $425,000 – $525,000, depending on experience and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) program.
