A leading national law firm with a highly respected corporate platform is seeking an experienced M&A/Private Equity Associate to join its Boston office. This is an opportunity to step into a sophisticated, fast-moving practice that advises prominent investors, funds, and commercial enterprises on complex, market-defining transactions.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will work closely with seasoned dealmakers on a wide spectrum of private equity and M&A matters, including acquisitions, divestitures, strategic mergers, joint ventures, and portfolio company work. The team operates at the center of high-value investment activity, offering hands-on experience with both buy-side and sell-side representations across diverse industries.
You will gain immediate responsibility, meaningful client contact, and the platform to progress toward partnership within a team known for mentoring, collaboration, and a commitment to professional growth.
What You’ll Do

Lead and support key aspects of private equity and M&A transactions from initial structuring through closing.

Advise sophisticated investors, financial institutions, and private equity sponsors on complex commercial and strategic matters.

Draft and negotiate transaction documents and manage due diligence processes.

Work closely with partners and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver practical, business-minded legal solutions.

Contribute to a dynamic national corporate practice built on teamwork, responsiveness, and excellence.
What You Bring

3+ years of private equity and M&A transactional experience within a law firm environment.

Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

A proactive, organized, and detail-driven approach to managing multiple deal timelines.

Commitment to delivering exceptional client service while collaborating effectively across teams.

JD required, plus prior experience working in a law firm.

Admission to practice in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain it).
