Construction Litigation Associate
Location: Orlando, FL (other Florida offices considered)

A nationally recognised Am Law 100 firm is seeking an experienced associate to join its Construction Law & Litigation group in Florida, ideally in the Orlando office. The team advises on major infrastructure projects, large-scale dispute resolution, risk management, and construction-related claims, offering the opportunity to work on complex matters within a collaborative and expanding practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex construction and commercial disputes from initial assessment through resolution.

  • Conduct claims analysis and advise on procurement, contracting, and risk management issues.

  • Draft motions, briefs, and discovery materials, including dispositive motions.

  • Take and defend depositions of key fact and expert witnesses.

  • Participate in mediation, arbitration, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

  • Assist with trial preparation and, where applicable, participate in trial proceedings.

Who You Are:

  • 4+ years of construction or commercial litigation experience with the ability to run cases independently.

  • Strong deposition experience and exposure to expert witness preparation.

  • Experience in mediation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution processes; trial experience is a plus.

  • Strong academic credentials with a practical, solutions-driven approach to litigation.

  • Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Member of the Florida Bar (required).
