Commercial Litigation Associate – Mid to Senior Level

Salary Range: $315,000 – $345,000 (DOE)

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level Commercial Litigation Associate to join its high-performing litigation team in New York. The successful candidate will work with some of the most prominent clients across a wide array of industries, handling sophisticated matters in both state and federal courts.

Qualifications:

• 5–6 years of complex commercial litigation experience, including:

  • Corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and contract disputes

  • Real estate financing and leasing litigation

  • Trade secrets, fraud, noncompete matters, and shareholder derivative suits

• Experience in the Commercial Division of the New York Supreme Court (New York County) and Southern/Eastern Districts of New York

• Admission to the New York Bar is required

• Strong academic credentials (J.D. from an accredited law school; Law Review/Journal preferred)

• Am Law 100 experience is required

• Trial and federal clerkship experience are both advantageous

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

• Deep understanding of CPLR, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Commercial Division rules, and local federal court rules

• Exceptional legal writing, oral advocacy, and research skills

• Ability to draft pleadings, discovery, and settlement agreements independently

• Highly organized, deadline-driven, and collaborative

• Strong project management capabilities

• Prior clerkship is a plus
