Location: Los Angeles, CA
A highly regarded law firm is seeking an Associate with 4+ years of experience to join its Litigation Department in Los Angeles. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of commercial litigation matters within a collaborative and high-performing team.
Associates will gain hands-on experience across all stages of litigation, with strong exposure to trial preparation and strategic case management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, tortious interference and breach of fiduciary duty disputes
- Draft pleadings, motions and substantive briefs
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Take and defend depositions and argue motions
- Support all phases of litigation, including trial preparation
- Assist in developing case strategy and managing client relationships
Who You Are:
- 4+ years of broad-based litigation experience
- Experience in commercial litigation matters
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent research, analytical and drafting skills
- Experience arguing motions and handling depositions
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience in real estate, land use, trusts & estates or IP litigation is a plus
- Admitted to the California Bar
Compensation:
Salary Range: $270,000 – $325,000 (DOE)
Benefits: Discretionary bonus based on performance (including hours above 1900), plus additional origination bonus opportunities
