A leading national firm is seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join its Commercial Litigation Practice Group in Houston. The team handles sophisticated business disputes in state and federal courts and offers associates meaningful responsibility, strong advocacy exposure, and direct client interaction within a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle complex business litigation matters in state and federal courts.

• Manage written and document discovery and contribute to overall case strategy.

• Research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court filings.

• Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.

• Appear at status conferences and argue motions.

• Support settlement conferences, negotiations, and trial preparation.

Who You Are:

• Class of 2022–2023 with 3–4 years of commercial litigation experience.

• Persuasive legal writer and confident oral advocate.

• Strong academic credentials with excellent research and analytical skills.

• Comfortable working directly with partners and clients.

• Collaborative, motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced practice.

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

• Active member of the Texas Bar, in good standing.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $260,000 – $310,000 DOE
