Location: New York, NY
A leading global law firm is seeking a 4th–6th year Associate to join its Commercial Litigation practice in New York. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex commercial disputes, class action defence and financial services litigation within a collaborative, cross-office platform.
Associates will gain exposure to sophisticated matters involving high-value disputes and cutting-edge legal issues across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in complex commercial and financial services litigation
- Support class action defence matters
- Draft pleadings, motions and substantive briefs
- Conduct legal research and analysis on sophisticated legal issues
- Prepare for and participate in motion arguments
- Take and defend depositions and manage discovery processes
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness outlines and exhibits
- Manage case strategy and client communications
Who You Are:
- 4–6 years of commercial litigation experience
- Experience with complex litigation and/or class actions preferred
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent writing, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Experience with motion practice and depositions
- Strong case management and organisational skills
- Law Review, Journal or Moot Court experience preferred
- Admitted to the New York Bar
Compensation:
Salary Range: $310,000 – $390,000 (DOE)
