Location: New Jersey (Metropolitan New York Practice)
A respected national firm is seeking a commercial litigation associate to join its growing Metropolitan New York practice, based in New Jersey. This role is ideal for a NY/NJ litigator seeking sophisticated work without a Manhattan commute. The team offers strong mentorship, early responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully within a close-knit, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Handle complex commercial litigation matters across state and federal courts.

Draft high-quality motions, briefs, and memoranda with precision and strong analytical focus.

Participate in discovery, depositions, hearings, and settlement discussions.

Work both independently and collaboratively to meet client needs effectively.

Engage directly with clients and partners, contributing to strategic case development.
Who You Are:

4–6 years of commercial litigation experience, ideally from a reputable law firm.

Excellent academic credentials with strong writing and research abilities.

Federal or state clerkship experience is preferred; law review or journal experience is advantageous.

Experience with complex insurance coverage litigation is beneficial but not required.

Strong communicator with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Member of both the New Jersey and New York Bars (required).
Compensation:
Salary Range: $175,000 – $185,000 DOE
