Location: Washington, D.C.
A nationally recognised litigation firm is seeking a 5th–10th year Attorney to join its Business Litigation practice in Washington, D.C. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial disputes within a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
The role offers exposure to a broad range of business litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on litigation in Virginia courts and the Eastern District of Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle complex business litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft substantive motions, briefs and other court filings
- Conduct legal research and analyse sophisticated legal issues
- Develop litigation strategy and support case management efforts
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups on high-stakes disputes
- Work directly with clients on litigation strategy and dispute resolution matters
- Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings
Who You Are:
- 5th–10th year attorney
- Significant business litigation experience
- Strong research, writing and analytical skills
- Experience litigating in Virginia state courts and/or the Eastern District of Virginia preferred
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a collegial environment
- Admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia
Compensation:
Salary Range: $200,000 – $350,000 (DOE)
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, transportation allowance, retirement benefits and paid leave. Discretionary bonuses may also be awarded annually.
