A premier international law firm is seeking a 3rd–5th year Associate to join its highly regarded Antitrust & Competition practice in Washington, DC. This is an exceptional opportunity to advise leading global clients on sophisticated antitrust litigation, merger clearance, government investigations and competition counselling alongside one of the country’s most respected antitrust teams.
The role offers exposure to high-profile matters at the intersection of government, business and technology within a collaborative and market-leading practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in complex antitrust litigation, including private, class action and government enforcement matters
- Advise clients on merger clearance and competition issues
- Assist with cartel investigations and regulatory investigations
- Counsel clients on antitrust compliance and risk management strategies
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive legal filings
- Conduct legal research and analyse complex competition law issues
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple practice areas on sophisticated matters
- Build strong client relationships while delivering practical, commercially focused advice
Who You Are:
- 3rd–5th year associate (excluding judicial clerkships)
- Experience in antitrust litigation involving private actions, class actions or government enforcement matters
- Strong interest in merger clearance, investigations and competition counselling
- Excellent legal research, analytical and writing skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and client service
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction
Compensation:
Salary: $260,000 – $365,000 + Market-leading compensation package, together with highly competitive bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
