Location: Washington, DC
A leading national law firm is seeking a 2nd–4th year Associate to join its Antitrust team in Washington, DC. This is an excellent opportunity to advise national and international clients on sophisticated antitrust litigation, government investigations, merger clearance and competition counselling while working alongside a highly regarded practice.
The role offers broad exposure to DOJ and FTC investigations, complex litigation and high-profile transactional matters in a collaborative and growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in federal and state antitrust litigation and investigations
- Advise clients on DOJ and FTC investigations and enforcement matters
- Assist with merger clearance and HSR filings for M&A transactions
- Counsel clients on antitrust compliance and competition law issues
- Draft motions, briefs and other substantive legal filings
- Support civil and class action antitrust litigation through all phases
- Conduct legal research and develop strategic competition law advice
- Work closely with clients on complex domestic and cross-border antitrust matters
Who You Are:
- 2nd–4th year associate
- Experience in antitrust litigation, investigations, merger clearance and/or counselling
- Government or law firm antitrust experience required
- DOJ or FTC experience strongly preferred
- Experience with HSR filings, State Attorneys General investigations, depositions or oral argument is a plus
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong research, analytical, writing and organisational skills
- Active Washington, DC Bar admission
- Collaborative, commercially minded and committed to outstanding client service
Compensation:
Salary Range: $235,000 – $280,000 (DOE)
