A leading international law firm is seeking a 3rd–5th year Managing Associate to join its highly regarded Employment Law team (Multiple Offices). This is an exceptional opportunity to advise innovative technology companies and private equity clients on sophisticated employment matters, workforce strategy and employment-related aspects of corporate transactions.
The role offers significant client contact, strategic advisory responsibilities and the opportunity to partner with fast-growing businesses on complex workplace issues in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise employers on strategic workforce growth initiatives and employment compliance matters
- Counsel clients on wage and hour issues, founder disputes, employment policies, reductions in force and restrictive covenant matters
- Provide practical advice to C-suite executives and HR leaders on high-stakes employment issues
- Support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and post-closing workforce integration from an employment perspective
- Identify and assess employment-related risks arising from corporate transactions
- Draft and negotiate employment agreements, restrictive covenants, separation agreements and related documentation
- Partner closely with technology companies and private equity clients to address evolving workplace challenges
- Develop practical, business-focused solutions that minimise legal risk while supporting organisational objectives
Who You Are:
- 3rd–5th year associate
- Currently practising within a Chambers-ranked Labor & Employment group
- Experience advising employers on employment counselling matters and workforce strategy
- Exposure to employment support in corporate transactions preferred
- Excellent academic credentials
- Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness and practical judgement
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility with clients and colleagues
- Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Member of the California or New York Bar, depending on office location
Compensation:
Salary Range: $310,000 – $390,000 (DOE)
