Location: Orange County, CA
A nationally recognised litigation powerhouse is seeking a 3rd–6th year Associate to join its Complex Litigation & Strategic Counseling practice in California (Multiple Offices). This is an exceptional opportunity to work on some of the country’s most significant multidistrict and complex coordinated litigation matters while helping shape litigation strategy for leading companies across a range of industries.
The role offers direct client contact, meaningful responsibility from an early stage and exposure to cutting-edge issues, including the evolving use of artificial intelligence in litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support multidistrict litigation (MDL) and complex coordinated proceedings
- Draft substantive motions, briefs and other strategic filings
- Conduct legal research and analyse sophisticated legal issues
- Manage discovery and coordinate case strategy across large-scale disputes
- Participate in mediations and other alternative dispute resolution processes
- Work directly with clients to develop litigation and resolution strategies
- Collaborate with national litigation teams on high-profile matters
- Advise clients across industries including life sciences, technology, retail and financial services
- Assist in addressing emerging issues related to artificial intelligence in litigation
Who You Are:
- 3rd–6th year associate
- Experience in multidistrict litigation and complex coordinated litigation
- Strong research, writing and analytical skills
- Experience with case management, motion practice and discovery
- Background in technology, antitrust, product liability and/or data security matters preferred
- Government enforcement experience is a plus
- Judicial clerkship experience is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work directly with clients
- Admitted to the California Bar
Compensation:
Salary Range: $200,000 – $325,000 (DOE)
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, transportation allowance, retirement benefits and paid leave. Discretionary bonuses may also be awarded annually.
