A highly regarded New York law firm is seeking a junior Litigation Associate from the 2023 or 2024 class year to join its sophisticated commercial litigation practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior associate looking for significant hands-on experience across a diverse litigation platform. The practice handles complex commercial disputes alongside intellectual property, white collar, entertainment and real estate litigation, with associates encouraged to take meaningful responsibility early in their careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle sophisticated commercial litigation matters
- Draft substantive motions and other litigation documents
- Manage and participate in all phases of discovery
- Conduct complex legal research and analysis
- Assist with developing case strategy and preparing matters for hearings and trial
- Work across commercial, IP, white collar, entertainment and real estate disputes
- Take increasing responsibility for matters as experience develops
- Work directly with experienced litigators across a diverse client base
Who You Are:
- 2023 or 2024 law school class year
- Substantial commercial litigation experience at a New York law firm
- Experience drafting motion papers
- Experience across all phases of discovery
- Excellent research, analytical, writing and advocacy skills
- Strong professional and academic credentials
- J.D. from a top-tier law school
- Admitted to the New York Bar
- Interested in developing client relationships and taking an entrepreneurial approach to practice development
Compensation:
Salary Range: $215,000 – $225,000
