Location: Atlanta, GA

A leading national law firm is seeking a 5th-7th year Associate to join its nationally recognized Labor & Employment practice in Atlanta. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a sophisticated mix of employment litigation, counseling and transactional matters for public and private companies, senior executives and management teams.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to complex employment disputes, restrictive covenant matters, executive agreements and employment issues arising from corporate transactions, with a clearly defined path toward partnership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle sophisticated labor and employment litigation
• Advise on non-compete and restrictive covenant matters
• Draft, review and negotiate employment-related agreements
• Support corporate transactions involving employment law issues
• Conduct employment-related due diligence
• Conduct complex legal research and fact development
• Prepare witnesses and materials for depositions
• Manage written discovery and discovery disputes
• Draft substantive motions, briefs and other litigation documents
• Take responsibility for driving matters through the litigation process
• Advise senior executives and management teams on employment issues

Who You Are:

• 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Strong corporate litigation background
• Labor and employment litigation experience is a plus
• Restrictive covenant and non-compete experience is advantageous
• Experience drafting and negotiating employment agreements is a plus
• Employment-related due diligence experience is advantageous
• Am Law 100 experience strongly preferred
• Excellent legal research, persuasive writing and oral communication skills
• Strong academic record from a nationally recognized law school
• Law review or comparable research and writing experience is a plus
• Strong project management and client service skills
• Admitted in Georgia or eligible to waive into the Georgia Bar
