Location: Dallas, TX
A leading global law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Commercial Disputes Associate with approximately 4-7+ years of experience to join its Dallas office. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes commercial litigation for a sophisticated national and international client base across a range of industries.
The successful candidate will take significant responsibility for matters from inception through resolution, working within lean case teams and developing direct relationships with clients. Counsel-level candidates may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Take significant responsibility for matters from inception through resolution
- Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions
- Handle motions to dismiss, summary judgment and evidentiary motions
- Manage key phases of discovery and case development
- Develop and execute litigation strategy
- Take a leading role within lean case teams
- Work directly with sophisticated national and international clients
- Collaborate closely with partners on high-stakes commercial disputes
Who You Are:
- Approximately 4-7+ years of complex commercial litigation experience
- Experience at a law firm of comparable caliber
- Strong experience across all phases of litigation
- Excellent case management skills
- Significant substantive motion practice experience
- Strong legal writing, analytical and advocacy skills
- Strategic and detail-oriented approach
- Comfortable assuming significant client responsibility
- Ability to operate effectively within lean, collaborative case teams
- Prior Department of Justice experience is a plus
- Counsel-level candidates may also be considered
